INVITATION

 La Asociación Mundial de la Carretera a fin de cumplir su misión como líder mundial en el análisis y discusión de los aspectos relevantes sobre carreteras y transporte por carreteras, así como para identificar, desarrollar y diseminar las mejores prácticas internacionales relacionadas con éstas, ha desarrollado e implementado el Plan Estratégico cuatrienal 2016-2019, en el cual se enmarca el Seminario Internacional Adaptación/Resiliencia al Cambio Climático, Gestión de Riesgos y Catástrofes en Carreteras, en cuya agenda se debatirán, evaluaran y analizarán resultados y aspectos vinculados a los temas estratégicos: Gestión y Finanzas; y Cambio Climático, Medioambiente y Catástrofes, ya que sus efectos sobre la infraestructura cobran cada vez mayor importancia entre la comunidad del transporte, lo que conduce a preguntas sobre cómo mitigar los efectos negativos y cómo adaptar de mejor manera las carreteras a climas extremos o sumamente variables. Las respuestas a estas preguntas comprenden una diversidad de disciplinas, incluyendo planeación y diseño, materiales, respuesta a emergencias, inversiones, entre otros.
Este seminario es organizado por los Comités Técnicos A.3 "Gestión de Riesgos", E.1 "Estrategias de Adaptación/Resiliencia", E.3 "Gestión de Catástrofes", y el Ministerio de la Construcción de Cuba, incorporándose a su desarrollo el Ministerio del Transporte, el Consejo Nacional de la Defensa Civil, el Ministerio de Ciencia, Tecnología y Medio Ambiente, la Universidad Tecnológica de La Habana, la Universidad Martha Abreu y la Universidad Julio Antonio Mella, así como la Unión Nacional de Arquitectos e Ingenieros de la Construcción de Cuba.

Norma de edición para resúmenes y ponencias 
El resumen debe contener entre 400 a 500 palabras (en inglés o español), enmarcado en las temáticas del seminario, con objetivos claros y una descripción corta de la metodología o el acercamiento científico o comercial, una apreciación general de los resultados y las conclusiones. 
Los autores seleccionados enviarán la presentación digital para una exposición no mayor de 15 minutos, y si lo desean deberán enviar en formato digital ponencia de 5 a 10 páginas para ser publicado en el CD del evento.
