“The wonderful staff fail to make this place worth coming back. ”
The service was wonderful, but the product lacking. Our room was standard. There was a lamp shade missing, no screen door to the porch [ couldn't leave door open as the mosquitoes were everywhere], no coffee maker [as advertised] and then they removed the sheer privacy curtains to be cleaned a day into our stay and returned only the day before departure, despite calls of complaint.
The food was so bland..salt and pepper the extent of their spices. No condiments beside mustard and ketchup even when asked. The availability of certain foods haphazard. One day, no potatoes, the next no cucumbers. The fruit had no flavour and choice scanty. Also the specialty restaurants were hohum.
The resort caters to families but there was no quiet area without loud music and announcements for games etc both at the pool and the beach. I will only consider a 5 star hotel in Cuba from now on. This one was 4 star.
“Older resort, but good value for the price! ”
A nice inexpensive resort. We went to relax and enjoy the beach, which we did. The beach was awesome and we walked every day for hours on the sandbars. There is a bar and snack service on the beach as well. You have to try the pizza on the beach it was excellent.
The service and hotel staff are wonderful, but the resort is dated and in need of some updating. Our room was clean with good air conditioning and the buffet was the usual Cuban selection. The smoothies at breakfast were great and the stir fry bar at night was a nice option.
Being a small resort it is a short walk to everything.
If you want a quiet inexpensive vacation this is a nice place to go.
