José Martí International Airport (IATA: HAV, ICAO: MUHA), sometimes known by its former name Rancho-Boyeros Airport, is located 15 km (9 mi) southwest of Havana, Cuba, and is a hub for Cubana de Aviación, Aerogaviota, and Aero Caribbean, and former Latin American hub for Aeroflot Soviet Airlines.[2] It is Cuba's main international and domestic gateway, and serves several million passengers each year. The airport lies in the municipality of Boyeros and connects Havana with the rest of the Caribbean, North, Central and South America, Europe, and one destination in Africa. It is named in memory of patriot and poet José Martí. In the 1960s the airport was bombed by B-26 aircraft from Brigade 2506, a CIA-sponsored group of Cuban exiles attempting to liberate Cuba from Fidel Castro. Cubans are not allowed to own aircraft or use the airport for either private or commercial flight. Only government-owned aircraft are allowed to use the facilities. There are currently four passenger terminals in use at the airport, plus a freight terminal.[3] Terminal 1 is used primarily for domestic flights. Terminal 2 opened in 1988, primarily for charter flights to the United States. Ten years later on April 27, 1998, the International Terminal 3 was opened by Canada's then-Prime Minister, Jean Chrétien, and former Cuban president, Fidel Castro. International Terminal 3 offers many modern facilities and jetways that the former international Terminal 1 did not provide. Terminal 5 is operated by Aerocaribbean. Today, Copa Airlines is the foreign airline with most flights to the airport, operating 34 flights a week (roughly 5 daily flights) from Panama City, Panama, and Bogota, Colombia. The airport is operated by Empresa Cubana de Aeropuertos y Servicios Aeronáuticos (ECASA).

“Beautiful City...Great Food .....Nice Location ”
This hotel was not my choice to stay at...however since our booked, paid in advanced at another Hotel, (we were planning for months to stay at )was closed, upon our arrival we were told we had to stay here. Not thrilled to go elsewhere, it turned out to be ok. The location is good, the breakfast was great and order off the menu was good. Staff changed daily, so every other day we had great service. Our room was just ok, it was clean but smelled musty and moldy. The shower leaked horribly and would flood the bathroom floor...but what the neck as we're not in Havana for the hotel room.

        “Good location”
Great central location in the old town. Spacious, clean room which is nicely decorated, although quite a lot of noise from the corridors in the morning - rooms are set around an external atrium. Lovely breakfast - you choose from an a la carte menu. Friendly staff.

        “Pleasant, historic and well-situated ”
Plesant historic and romantic hotel in Old Havana, giving you the feel of history. The rooms were very nicely decorated and made you feel at home. They even had an espresso machine available. The bathroom was a bit disappointing, but clean and decent. Breakfast was good and service excellent. We were there on a Saturday, and there was quite a lot of noise from the street in the room that we had.

        “First and Last ”
This hotel is a renovation of a former aristocratic house in the St Francis of Assisi Plaza, next to the city docks and the Malecon on one side and the bulk of the old city on the other. It is a credit to the restoration efforts of Eusebio Leal, the city historian who has overseen the restoration of a number of old houses into hotels. Essentially the old facade has been kept and the interior is all new and to a high standard with approximately 36 rooms on about 5 levels built around an inner courtyard which functions as the main bar and relaxed dining area (including breakfast), covered by a large canvas sail at the top. Service is exemplary and so is cleanliness, despite only rudimentary language skills (English) of most staff. The front desk staff are completely conversant in English. We only ate at the hotel for breakfast and in the relaxed dining area for one dinner and it was a positive experience. Service and food, although not particularly adventurous, was well cooked and served. The formal restaurant was mostly empty but certainly looked appealing. Wi-Fi connection was consistent with the poor standard for this service in Cuba! There are some problems with "hammering" in water pipes in the building and this is less noticeable on higher floors. We asked to be transferred from our lower floor to a higher one which was done immediately and without any hesitation. Similarly some mechanical problems with the air conditioning unit were fixed immediately. This hotel eminently deserves its slight price premium over nearby hotels. Remember to spend some time on the bedroom balcony overlooking the side street and an adjacent restaurant to watch the passing traffic.

A great botiq hotel. He have a wonderfull service (aspecially juan from the reception service). The hotel founded 2 min from the catadralla and at the center of the tourest havana city, clossed to everything. and it is 10 min from the cubban cigars factory that behind the cappitello ( the cuban white house). Finelly , i can say that is the perfect hotell in cuba.

        “Fabulous location and breakfast ”
We were here for 4 fantastic nights and it was better than expected. The location is ideal. The breakfast, that came with the room, was exquisite, delicious and served with style. The kitchen staff was very courteous. Some of the reception staff was cordial. However, any cash foreign exchange transaction can only be done during office hours like the bank. We had to go to Hotel Florida to convert when we needed some CUC cash for dinner. Don't forget to take some wonderful pictures from the lovely balcony.

        “Really enjoyable ”
We really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was really nice. Staff attentive and friendly, waiting staff had a few communication issues. Excellent location, in the old town, most of the major attractions are a short walk. Only real issue was the WIFi was slow and expensive and unreliable.
