  • DAY 1
    Arrival at José Martí International Airport, Havana. Transfer to your Telegrafo hotel. Check-in. Dinner. Evening free.

    DAY 2
    Breakfast. Tour of the historic center of the city, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Transfer to Montemar Natural Park on the Zapata peninsula. Boat trip crossing the Laguna del Tesoro to Hotel Horizontes Guamá. Check-in. Lunch. Afternoon bird watching session, two options:

    First: Bermejas area, full of woods and palm trees, nest-building area especially for different species of woodpeckers.

    Second: a nearby area full of natural wells, ideal habitat for different species of pigeons.

    Return to the hotel. Dinner. Evening free.

    DAY 3
    Early breakfast. Visit to La Salina wild life refuge, area frequented by different species of water birds that live in the many mangrove swamps, coastal lagoons and woods here to be found. Packed lunch. Return to the hotel. Dinner. Night bird watching session. Return to the hotel.

    DAY 4
    Early breakfast. Visit to Santo Tomás wild life refuge, famous for being the habitat of three very rare species of birds: the "Ferminia" (Ferminia cerverai), endemic in this area, the "Cabrerito de la Ciénaga" (Torrearnis inexpectata), and -wouldn’t it be something to add your name to the short list of people who have been privileged to see or hear the famous "Gallinuela de Santo Tomás" (Cyanolimnas cerverai). Also, you are very likely to spot the Zunzuncito, the world’s smallest bird. Packed lunch. Return to the hotel. Dinner. Evening free.

    DAY 5
    Breakfast. Departure in the direction of Havana. Transfer to the National Botanic Garden for a guided bird watching tour. Visit to the Japanese Garden and lunch at the Ecorestaurante. Continuation to Soroa. Check-in at Hotel & Villas Horizontes Soroa, situated in the Sierra del Rosario Biosphere Reserve. Dinner. Evening free.

    DAY 6
    Early breakfast. Bird watching session in the Sierra del Rosario Biosphere Reserve. Return to the hotel. Lunch. Visit to the orchid collection and waterfall. Bird watching session. Dinner. Evening free.

    DAY 7
    Breakfast. Early departure to La Guira National Park. Bird watching session. Packed lunch. Afternoon bird watching session. Return to the hotel. Country style farewell dinner.

    DAY 8
    Breakfast. Transfer to Havana airport and return to country of origin.
