Participants will enjoy the best of Cuban architecture in Havana, with visits to most important military castles built by the Spaniards during Colonial Times, Old Havana's beautiful Squares, churches, streets and palaces, plus an explanation for Old Havana areas Master Plan, given by specialists from the Historian City's office. The tour also includes modern Havana and its best architectural achievements.

DAY 1
Arrive to Havana Airport. Transfer to Hotel Nacional . Welcome Cocktail at Hotel Nacional
Accommodation at Hotel Nacional
Welcome meeting with Cuban colleagues, members of the Cuban College of Architects (UNAICC). Coffee break. Brief Lecture on Cuban Architecture.
Free Time.
Dinner at Hotel.

DAY 2
Breakfast at Hotel Nacional.
Visit to the Old Havana Model. Explanation on the Master Plan for Old Havana Areas by specialists from the Historian of the City’s Office.
Tour in Old Havana Historic areas guided by an architect. Visit to Plaza de Armas, San Francisco Square and Church, Museum of the City (former Governor’s Palace), “La Fuerza” castle (explanation on the defensive system built by the Spaniards and overview of “El Morro” and “La Cabaña” castles), Obispo and Mercaderes Streets.  Lunch at “El Patio” restaurant, by the cathedral square.

Walking tour through Cathedral Square, visit to the Cathedral it self, Colonial Museums and restored hotels in the area and visit to Hotel “Santa Isabel”. Coffee drink at the hotel. Dinner at Hotel Nacional

DAY 3
Breakfast at Hotel Nacional.
Sightseeing tour in Vedado Neighborhood. Main Avenues, Eclectic mansions built in the 20´s (present Museo de Artes Decorativas and Casa de la Amistad, former residences of Condesa de Revilla de Camargo and Mrs. Catalina Lasa respectively) Over view of the main buildings constructed in the 50´s, Havana University and Colón Cemetery (a great piece of sculptural art).
Lunch at El Aljibe restaurant.
Visit to Havana City Model, explanation by its specialists on the General Development Plan for the Capital City.
Sightseeing tour in Miramar Neighborhood. The Architecture of the 50´s, new hotel’s construction works. (Finished and in progress). Visit to Art Schools and Cubanacán areas. Visit and snack at Club Habana (former private Club of the 50´s).
Dinner at Hotel Nacional.

DAY 4
Breakfast at Hotel Nacional.
Departure to Cienfuegos
Arriving in Cienfuegos.
Accommodation at Hotel “Unión”, and lunch at “La Cueva del Camarón”
Welcome meeting with specialists from UNAIC Regional Office and Cienfuegos Conservation Office. Conference by Arch. Irán Millán and other specialists about Cienfuegos historic areas and its Heritage Values.
Dinner at “Hotel Unión”.
Free Night.

DAY 5
Breakfast at Hotel “Unión”.
Walking tour in the historic areas and Punta Gorda, Terry theater, visit to the “Queen’s Cemetery “ and Jagua Castle.
 Lunch at “ Palacio Valle “ restaurant (wooden Palace built in the 19th Century)

Departure to Trinidad (World heritage city).
Welcome meeting with specialists from UNAIC Regional Office and Trinidad Conservation Office. Explanation of the Rehabilitation Plan for the City of Trinidad.
Accommodation at Hotel Las Cuevas
City Tour including Dinner at Historic area’s restaurant

DAY 6
Breakfast at Hotel Las Cuevas.
Continuation of the Tour in Historic Town and snack at La Canchánchara.
Tour in the Sugar Mill’s Valley and Lunch at “La Torre de Iznaga” restaurant in the Valley.
Departure to Havana City.
Arrive in La Habana and accommodation at Hotel Sevilla.
Dinner at Hotel restaurant

DAY 7
Breakfast at Hotel Sevilla.
Visit to “El Parque Lenin”, masterwork of Cuban Architect Antonio Quintana in the 70’s
Lunch at “las Ruinas” restaurant.
Visit to the National Botanic Garden, masterwork of Cuban architect Luis Lápidus In the 70’s.
Walking tour on “El Prado” Promenade, (designed by French Architect Forrestier” in 19th Century). Visit to the Capitol building (built as a replica of the Washington Capitol), former Chamber of Cuban Congress and now Museum of Natural Sciences. Visit to two new hotels, one of them fully restored as it was in the past and the other remodeled according modern conceptions.
Farewell Dinner at “El Floridita” restaurant, one of the Ernest Hemingway’s favorites.

DAY 8
Breakfast at Hotel Sevilla.
Transfer to Havana International airport to take the returning flight.
