Tarara Scuba Diving Center is located in Havana
Capital of Cuba and the country's administrative, political, cultural and scientific center, it is also the capital of two provinces: City of Havana and Havana. Though only around 280 square miles (727 square kilometers) in size-0.65 percent of the archipelago's total area.
The Old Havana and system of forts led UNESCO to declare it a part of world heritage in 1982. Founded on its present site in 1519, the settlement of San Cristobal de La Habana prospered mainly due to its bay, which was a natural port of call for ships sailing to and from the New World. Starting in 1634, because of its strategic location, San Cristobal de La Habana was considered the key to the New World-as attested to by royal letters patent-and the main defense of the West Indies.
The Cuban capital consists of an immense number of buildings in a wide range of architectural styles, built in the course of nearly five centuries. These styles range from the pre-baroque to the baroque, neo-Gothic, neoclassical, eclectic, art noveau and art-deco, to the modern.
Alejo Carpentier, one of Cuba's most famous authors, called it "the city of columns" and focused attention on its streets, which he considered a perennially rich show of life, humanity and contrasts that was bound to entertain any observer.
Over 14 kilometers of excellent beaches lie to the east of the Cuban capital. To the south, a green belt contributes to a healthful atmosphere.

Scuba Diving cuba
Best dive centre I`ve been to in Cuba so far. Close to Hotel Club Atlantico and Tropicoco (5 minute taxi ride) and no walking with your tanks into the water required. You can leave your equipment at the Dive centre between trips and it will be on the boat and ready to go the next morning. The rental equipment is in good shape but the BCs are not weight integrated so you`ll have to wear a belt. Unlike diving from the Atlantico`s beach, you will be asked for your certification and required to sign a waiver. Carlos, the Dive Master was competent and attentive. He also resolved equipment issues with my personal gear so extra kudos for that! The dive sites were colorful and there was lots of sea-life. Sunny days were the best as the coral and fish appeared bright and vibrant. The crew was great at helping me in and out of the boat, setting up my gear and carrying it to and from the dive centre; They really earned their tips. A 2-tank trip was 70 cuc and there wasn`t a discount for my six dives. If you`re the only diver then it`s a 2-tank minimum. The wait for a taxi might be long because the drivers are more interested in trips to Havana. It's not a bad idea to have the front desk call an hour before the boat departure time just in case. The boss of the dive centre actually picked me up at the hotel in his own car so the boat could leave on time. I was very impressed by this degree of service. I hope this review is helpful and feel free to ask me about anything I didn't mention.
