Parisien (Hotel Nacional) is located in Havana
Capital of Cuba and the country's administrative, political, cultural and scientific center, it is also the capital of two provinces: City of Havana and Havana. Though only around 280 square miles (727 square kilometers) in size-0.65 percent of the archipelago's total area.
The Old Havana and system of forts led UNESCO to declare it a part of world heritage in 1982. Founded on its present site in 1519, the settlement of San Cristobal de La Habana prospered mainly due to its bay, which was a natural port of call for ships sailing to and from the New World. Starting in 1634, because of its strategic location, San Cristobal de La Habana was considered the key to the New World-as attested to by royal letters patent-and the main defense of the West Indies.
The Cuban capital consists of an immense number of buildings in a wide range of architectural styles, built in the course of nearly five centuries. These styles range from the pre-baroque to the baroque, neo-Gothic, neoclassical, eclectic, art noveau and art-deco, to the modern.
Alejo Carpentier, one of Cuba's most famous authors, called it "the city of columns" and focused attention on its streets, which he considered a perennially rich show of life, humanity and contrasts that was bound to entertain any observer.
Over 14 kilometers of excellent beaches lie to the east of the Cuban capital. To the south, a green belt contributes to a healthful atmosphere.

“Really Disappointing Tourist Show ”
I had been looking forward to attending one of these Tropicana style shows while I was in Havana. As I were staying in the Hotel Nacional I booked Cabaret Parisien for a Sunday night and dragged my 2 friends along. Cost equivalent to ?60 each with dinner. I was expecting a Cuban style dinner but was served tinned slop -... More
“A good show ”
Certainly not Paris, and costumes a bit dated but good night. Choice of a meal or go later without a meal. In the wet season a good option as Tropicana is outdoors. Overall good value
We got this free as we were staying in the Hotel Nacional, and we were very glad we went, it was highly entertaining. We also had supper there , which like all good in Havanna was not up to much but as our expectations in this area were not high we were not too disappointed.
“Good Show ”
We went on a Thursday and it was a good show, the room was not very crowded, good drinks, good appetizers. We didn't have dinner there, so I really can't give an opinion on that, but overall the show was good. Not amazing, but OK to spend one night and not expensive compared to the Tropicana.
“Great show ... But don't be tempted to take the meal ”
First you need to have a drink on the lawn of the national hotel, which is a fantastic setting. The show was fantastic and was non stop for nearly 2 hours and well worth the money for the experience. However the meal which was optional was very poor, mass produced and tasteless So my recommendation would be to do the... More
“Second best Cabaret in Havana ”
You should visit this place to see how talented cuban dancers are, as well as excellent musicians. The place is usually full, you can eat and drink while you enjoy the show. The Cabaret is in the National Hotel, an antique jewel of the Cuban Hotels.
“Brilliant evening ”
The location of this show is the Hotel Nacional and tickets are available from here. Many people only think of Club Tropicana when they think of Havana, think again. For half the price you get a three course meal, two drinks, a VIP table and a fantastic two hour show full of colour, light and cuban music. The dancing is... More
“A great Night ”
I recommend you go early and include the meal before the show. A great meal excellent service. The show was colourful, vibrant and energetic well worth a visit. The show was a non stop constantly changing costumes, the music really draws you into the show. Well worth a visit.
“Fantastic show ”
We were booked to go to the Tropicano show in Havana but it happened to rain that day so we ended up at the Parisien. I had heard that it was a much better show than the Tropicano and the only advantage the Tropicano had was that it was outdoor. Saying, that it was one of popular and famous hotels... More
