In the far northwest of the Guanahacabibes Peninsula, just 3 miles from the bedrock in which Roncali Lighthouse stands, surrounded by an environment of exuberant vegetation and the sea, lies the Villa Cabo San Antonio. The Guanahacabibes Peninsula is a region with a great part of its extension largely untouched and which has the status of a Biosphere Reserve approved by UNESCO since 1987. It has an environment with ecological paths, a wide variety of endemic flora and fauna, caves, cracks, casimbas, lagoons and cenotes (in Mexico, caves with water underground) that amaze the visitors. This villa offers accommodation, meals a la carte, snack bar with national and international drinks, day and night activities, 8 kilometers of a beautiful and unspoiled beach and service of marine, fishing and contemplative diving activities in the nearby Marina Cabo San Antonio; there’s also sale of excursions within the nature reserve and a friendly and professional hotel staff that make the hotel a wonderful shelter in the westernmost corner of Cuba.

the sea is blue and warm
Villa Cabo San Antonio is in the extreme north-eastern part of the Guanahacabibes Peninsula, only 3 kilometres from the solid rock where the Roncali lighthouse stands, surrounded by sea and jungle.
“Beautiful beaches, but not much else at the moment ”
The villas are clean and comfortable, the location is brilliant and there's a deserted white sand beach for at least a mile in either direction. No hotels, no holiday villas, in fact no buildings of any sort.
When we were there the dive boat had broken down, the dive shop at the marina was shut up and reception had no idea when either would be available. There are also walks in the nature reserve advertised at reception. But, be prepared for an 80km round trip (in your car) if you want to take one.
If you want peace and quiet on a remote tropical beach this place is unbeatable. But if you're looking to go diving, birdwatching or nature trekking you probably want to head for Maria la Gorda instead.
