Yero Tower, is located in the municipality of Cabaiguán, Sancti Spiritus province, very close to Guayos town. The land where it is, has igneous rocks, its relief is formed by an undulating plain with gentle slopes, the soils are grayish brown with a high clay content. On the topographical plan of the Farm Tuinucú made in 1866 by Fermín de Silva on the grounds of Don Francisco de Lara, who was the building now known as Yero Tower. The largest of these properties were located between the path of Santa Cruz and the Cayajaca Stream, estate where is the tower. 

The residents say the tower had a bell, which was moved to a church in Sancti Spiritus. This suggests that it could be used in its origins as a view point to watch the work of slaves in their different tasks, and the bell to call them.
