José Martí International Airport (IATA: HAV, ICAO: MUHA), sometimes known by its former name Rancho-Boyeros Airport, is located 15 km (9 mi) southwest of Havana, Cuba, and is a hub for Cubana de Aviación, Aerogaviota, and Aero Caribbean, and former Latin American hub for Aeroflot Soviet Airlines.[2] It is Cuba's main international and domestic gateway, and serves several million passengers each year. The airport lies in the municipality of Boyeros and connects Havana with the rest of the Caribbean, North, Central and South America, Europe, and one destination in Africa. It is named in memory of patriot and poet José Martí. In the 1960s the airport was bombed by B-26 aircraft from Brigade 2506, a CIA-sponsored group of Cuban exiles attempting to liberate Cuba from Fidel Castro. Cubans are not allowed to own aircraft or use the airport for either private or commercial flight. Only government-owned aircraft are allowed to use the facilities. There are currently four passenger terminals in use at the airport, plus a freight terminal.[3] Terminal 1 is used primarily for domestic flights. Terminal 2 opened in 1988, primarily for charter flights to the United States. Ten years later on April 27, 1998, the International Terminal 3 was opened by Canada's then-Prime Minister, Jean Chrétien, and former Cuban president, Fidel Castro. International Terminal 3 offers many modern facilities and jetways that the former international Terminal 1 did not provide. Terminal 5 is operated by Aerocaribbean. Today, Copa Airlines is the foreign airline with most flights to the airport, operating 34 flights a week (roughly 5 daily flights) from Panama City, Panama, and Bogota, Colombia. The airport is operated by Empresa Cubana de Aeropuertos y Servicios Aeronáuticos (ECASA).

“Very good hotel in an area you need to turn right ”
Stayed in this hotel for one night, and enjoyed the hotel. Very good sized room with a view over the street. The room can get noisy from the street and were on floor 7. It did quiet down though and we got a good nights sleep. The staf were helpful and had some very good recommendations for lunch and dinner, be careful here heaps of people solicit you for your business in many different ways and you need to be on your game. Our breakfast experience was average, the toaster had broken down and they had no orange juice and the eggs were average at best. We found the location very good walking distance to the old town but got advice to make sure we turn right out of the door and not left and this proved good advice . We would stay here again if we went back to Havana

      “Good and bad ”
This is a great hotel, lovely atmosphere, roof top pool bar and views great. Breakfasts good, bars and entertainment lovely. Downside we were on the first floor with a window overlooking mezzanine bar do couldn't open the curtains, the room not very big and felt the cleaning was a bit hit and miss - but hey this is Havana - one of the best hotels in the old city I think.

Havana is an lively city at night and make sure you have your wits about you when leaving the hotel. a must place to visit however don't expect too much.

“Awesome! But stay on an even numbered floor ”
We loved our stay here! It's definitely one of the best hotels in Havana. The roof top pool was incredible and the staff were really friendly and efficient. We stayed on the 13th floor, and the windows were floor on the floor. This comes (apparently) from the Cubans renovating their high ceiling rooms by adding another floor in the middle to make two floors (the Cuban name escapes me I'm sorry). So an even numbered floor would have better views.

      “Old world Cuban charm ”
Had a wonderful 5 days at Saratoga. Big comfortable room, excellent staff who go out of their way to cater to every whim and fancy, great food (apart from the buffet breakfast you can also order special dishes from the breakfast menu), lovely toiletries in huge bottles, easy to get taxis, within walking distance to everything. Hotel has a restaurant on the ground floor, a lounge/bar on Mezzanine (piano music) and another Bar on the top most floor, near the Pool. You're never bored. Have drinks at night at the Pool Bar and soak in the structure in chaos that is Old Havana below.. Delighful! Must mention the excellent Concierge (tall blonde lady - forgot to take down her name) who made sure we got the tickets we wanted and the restaurant bookings pat down.

Very Opulent hotel. The rooms were very spacious and clean, lovely toiletry selection in the en suite. Free WIFI which is great, as not many other hotels in Cuba have this. Great roof top pool with a lovely small meal selection. Breakfast selection was great. The staff were exceptionally helpful. The cleaning staff were beautiful. Many attractions within walking distance from the hotel.

      Review about Saratoga Hotel
      Excellent Excellent

The Saratoga Hotel is an elegant eclectic construction with a neoclassic style tendency, located in a busy intersection in Old Havana, on the corner of "Prado" Avenue and "Dragones" Street. Located across from the "Capitolio Nacional" (National Capitol) and "Parque de la Fraternidad" (Fraternity Park), the hotel provides an attractive view to the prestigious "Partagás" Cigar Factory and the "Gran Teatro de La Habana", an important cultural center in the Cuban capital. The hotel, built in the historic place once occupied by the legendary Saratoga Hotel, famous since it opened in the 1930s by its "Aires Libres" (outdoor cafés), its excellent gastronomic offers and performances by popular Cuban orchestras of the time, like the famous "Anacaona", which debuted at the hotel, gained prestige and fame by the frequent visits by well-known personalities of the country's cultural and social life. The present construction, erected from its foundations, except a part of the façade, has reproduced some elements of the original building, such as the lobby, great large windows of French carpentry, an ample vestibule and a magnificent terrace-lookout that provides a view of nearly 270 degrees, including the Bay of Havana and the Fortress of "San Carlos de la Cabaña" to the north, and a panoramic views of distant zones of the capital to the southwest. The building's interior design combines traditional elements with the most modern amenities to guarantee the best service and comfort. The hotel is perfect for the visitors who wish to enjoy both visits to places of historic-cultural interest and Havana's renowned nightlife.
