City tour Havana is located in Havana
Capital of Cuba and the country's administrative, political, cultural and scientific center, it is also the capital of two provinces: City of Havana and Havana. Though only around 280 square miles (727 square kilometers) in size-0.65 percent of the archipelago's total area.
The Old Havana and system of forts led UNESCO to declare it a part of world heritage in 1982. Founded on its present site in 1519, the settlement of San Cristobal de La Habana prospered mainly due to its bay, which was a natural port of call for ships sailing to and from the New World. Starting in 1634, because of its strategic location, San Cristobal de La Habana was considered the key to the New World-as attested to by royal letters patent-and the main defense of the West Indies.
The Cuban capital consists of an immense number of buildings in a wide range of architectural styles, built in the course of nearly five centuries. These styles range from the pre-baroque to the baroque, neo-Gothic, neoclassical, eclectic, art noveau and art-deco, to the modern.
Alejo Carpentier, one of Cuba's most famous authors, called it "the city of columns" and focused attention on its streets, which he considered a perennially rich show of life, humanity and contrasts that was bound to entertain any observer.
Over 14 kilometers of excellent beaches lie to the east of the Cuban capital. To the south, a green belt contributes to a healthful atmosphere.

City tour Havana
See some of the city´s main attractions with this stylish two-hour ride. This exclusive drive is followed by a one-hour walking tour through the historical and colonial district, Old Havana (Habana Vieja), which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1982. It's a so-called ´panoramic tour´ because you will pass by many landmarks but not enter them. This is a perfect introduction to Havana and to see a little of what Havana has to offer, to revisit it later individually with more time and leisure. The vintage cars from the´50s, some once owned by American movie stars or gangsters, give colour and shape to the streets of Havana. Most of these automobiles are privately owned and can be seen in use as taxis for local people on fixed routes...much to the disappointment of many international visitors. With the option of this classic car city tour, you can experience an exotic ride in an antique car while also checking out the sights! The ride in the classic car will take you along the Malecón, the beautiful seaside boulevard of Havana. Its seafront wall is an important social, inspiring, and romantic spot for all Habanero´s. Except for strolling along the Malecón, there is no other appropriate way to pass this coastal road in style than in a classic car. You will also ride along the streets of Miramar. This residential area is one of Havana´s most upscale districts. Its stately avenues are lined with embassies, mansions, and towering and flowering trees. The tour will also bring you to The Revolution Square (Plaza de la Revolución). This large zone encompasses an area of approximately 72,000 m2. The creation of the square was started in 1953 and completed in 1959. It was originally called Plaza Cívica but was renamed to Plaza de la Revolución shortly after the triumph of the Cuban Revolution. A walk through the historical old town, Habana Vieja, is like a visit to an open air museum. The majority of interesting sights can be explored on foot as the district is predominantly pedestrian. After the guided walk through Habana Vieja, your tour will come to a conclusion. The return to your hotel is not included but who would want to go back to their hotel now? Enjoy lunch or a drink on a terrace in Habana Vieja and capture the essence of this remarkable city.

If you divide the capitol in two parts, you will get Old Havana, largely car-free so you will visit this part on foot. This historic and colonial center is an open air museum of architecture, art and culture – a real treat for history and culture buffs. The other half is called modern Havana, but certainly not less interesting, just very urban and genuine, with definitely historical toppers, although from a later era. Listed on the agenda, in random order: Plaza San Francisco de Asís - Plaza de la Catedral - Plaza Vieja - Plaza de Armas - Palacio de los Capitanes Generales (City Museum) - Capitol - Parque Central - Bar-restaurant Floridita and Bodeguito del medio - University of Havana - Plaza de la Revolución (Revolution Square) and the boulevard Malecón. Havana City Tour
We arranged an overnight tour from Havana to Vinales with the Havana Tour Company. Our guide was Yoe and he was an absolute legend - informed, humble, flexible, excellent English, an absolute delight. The tour was great We were fortunate to have arranged an amazing trip to Cuba this past December. Unfortunately, if we had known that we would have such a horrible tour guide we would have picked another country to visit. Believe it or not your tour guide can make or break you vacation. Enjoyed a great bus tour of Havana, you must visit! Great museums, churches and restaurants. Our tour guide was excellent, very knowledgeable and excellent english!

we booked two tours before our trip to Cuba, which was easy to do. We did the full day tour around Havana with Yaniet she was on time at the meeting place and took us around Havana and was very informative and knowledgeable we then had lunch and then a Cadillac tour of Havana. tour of Modern Havana and Metroplitan .We saw interesting places Revolution square where the pope spoke two years ago. did a walking tour downtown that's includes Plaza Vieja, Plaza de Arms, enjoyed a lunch at a city restaurant great food ,and service. We were given a hour to do as we pleased shopped for Rum a must for $3.10 Our tour guide (Baby, pronounced Barbie) was excellent. There were only 6 of us on the tour which made it intimate and easy. It was great to hear first hand about the local history, life and customs of Cuba. She took us for a lovely lunch at the Café Laurent which is at the top of an apartment buildingper bottle I did "Havana Full Day Tour" on 14th January 2016 which I booked it before I arrived in Havana. This tour is supposed to be a group tour but it turned out only me on the day. Yanlin was my tour guide and she was fantastic!! She was very knowledgeable and informativ We booked this tour before leaving home and it met and exceeded all our expectations. We spent a wonderful 2 hours exploring the four squares in Havana, had a delicious lunch at a rooftop restaurant, and then an hour long tour of other parts of Havana in a 55 Chevy convertible!! Barbara is the best tour guide you could possibly get in Havana. Smart and funny, she has strong knowledge of Cuban history and she manages to explain everything so well that no one gets bored. Perfect English speaker, Babi will tell you not only about Havana's (hi)story, but she will also debate modern days problems that Cuban people face We booked our Classic Car Tour from home a few weeks before our cruise ship "Braemar" left the UK. It was so easy and only took three Emails from our initial enquiry to receiving confirmation of our booking. We just returned from Cuba. One of the highlights was the private two day tour of Havana. Our guide was Yaniet, and she was superb! The emails prior to the tour and trip were answered promptly and they did a fabulous job of accommodating our requests. Highly recommend and thank you, Yaniet...you were a terrific guide!
