Parque Central hotel, of the Spanish Iberostar chain, reopened its doors today in the Cuban capital under strict sanitary protocols to avoid the spread of Covid-19.
After several months closed as a result of the pandemic, the first travelers arrived at the Havana facility this Tuesday, a date that coincides with the start of the high season for tourism on the island.
The restart of activities occurs with the implementation of more than 300 safety and hygiene measures in accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization and the Cuban health authorities, the hotel group assures in a note.
In this way, Iberostar organized a program called How We Care (We take care of everything to take care of you), which aims to make 'the customer safer to put aside worries and feel as comfortable as ever'.
In its statement, it informs about the resumption of the combined city and beach programs, a unique modality of the Cuba destination in the Caribbean, which allows travelers to live urban and vacation experiences during their stay.
Likewise, the company announced that in the coming months, in addition to Central Park, it will increase the number of operating hotels, including the Iberostar Grand Packard, also in Havana.
Under strict health protocols, Cuba reopened its doors to international tourism in July and all international airports have been operating since November 15.
