Very Nice
You will visit the Sugarmill factory "Jose Smith Comas" in Cardenas a city 20 kms from Varadero. It is a guided visit with a detailed explanation of the sugar cane production in the mill. You will taste the delicious sugar cane juice called "Guarapo". You will also visit a sugar cane-field to see workers cutting the cane with the "machetes". A unique experience is when you take a steam train from the beginning of the 20th century up to Cárdenas Train Station. After this a tour around the historical city Cardenas and its many monuments. You can book this excursion at the tour desk of your Varadero hotel or resort, costs are about 40 CUC
