Avoid this hotel it's disgusting! No air con, dirty, smelly, awful slow service from completely uninspired staff. It's a dump and feels on the verge if closure! The washrooms were truly awful the food inedible and I would suggest the whole building is a health hazard! Awful!

“Stay away from this hotel!!!!! ”
Horrendous !!. One of the worst experiences of my life in hotels. In most of the hotel air conditioning does not work. The building was originally designed to have AC but according to what I could find very many stopped working yearss ago. The common areas such as lobby bar and without AC. Personal service: super low (poor sweating like false witnesses). Minimum smelly bathrooms without cleaning. Breakfast is a black chapter in my detestable stay at the Hotel. Flies like a dump, roaches on the counter juices, about 60 tables and two service people. Cuba has good coffee but the coffee in the hotel was of an automatic machine that to what it looked like him. Every 30 minutes or so one small plate with fruit appeared.... well a plate with 100 people on breakfast and only small plate with fruit and papaya .... good only lasted about 5 seconds. All extremely dirty room. Again little super staff. The hearty bread but completely hard and impossible to eat without toasting. Little sugar, honey had no available jams were unsweetened fruit juices. The restaurant looks nice and the person (if only one) taking very courteous and helpful. The food at the place really expensive and scarce a dish is not enough to feed an adult. In the letter several different dishes available only two or three appear but. The bar where we try to enjoy some world party with friends was a boiler, No AC! Had! The only thing to snack but only cheese sandwiches ham. and three french fries the side (not exaggerating only three), incredibly high prices again to Cuba. At night some musicians playing pretty good but giving them the impression that we went worse with heat. The pool is only redeemable Hotel is large and maintained. A bar in the center but those who work there do nothing but talk to each other and take orders from those who should come up and ask. Enough chairs around (good damaged part). Good tennis courts and nice gym. WiFi is an adventure to be paid something like $ 5 an hour and works at times and slowly. I take the time to talk to others about how they felt Guests at the hotel and did not find a single one that did not say that never!!! would return to that place. A party that deserves mention are the elevators, closed and slow with a temperature within them (four chromed steel cubes without the minimum ventilation) which calculation hovered at noon 50 degrees Celsius. Never be back to this hotel!!

    “Worst hotel in Cuba ”
We stayed here on our first night in Cuba, luckily for one night only. The hotel looks old and shabby from outside, but that's ok and normal in Cuba. The hotel was packed with guests. Generally the room was old, the furnishing was worn, ripped and shabby. But that wouldn't really bother us, if it wasn't for the smell. The room stunk!! We couldn't open the window, so we used the air condition to air it but it only got worst! It smelled of old, long not ventilated cupboard. I literally slept with a jumper over my nose! We were only happy to get out of the room in the morning. The breakfast was terrible, hundreds of people, almost no staff present, everything was a mess! It looked like thousands kids from a camp would run over it and left everything behind like after a hurricane! So to summarize it all- don't stay here. It was one of the worst hotels I ever stayed in, even when I count in all the hostels.

    “Never Again ”
On arrival, reception service was unfriendly and whilst being dealt with staff were talking between themselves and answering the phone, very rude not one smile or a welcome to our hotel. Used the phone in room to call reception, phone was put down by receptionist several times, reported phone not working nothing happened, by the time we left still no working phone in the room. Asked about towels to use in pool area, was told we could obtain a ticket and leave a deposit, when we went to do this, the same person said towels wouldn't be available until after 10am when gym opens, was told to take towels from room. We enquired about a courtesy room for our last day as we were here until 6pm, told that this wasn't available but could keep room for 35CUC. We asked could we use the gym for changing and showering, but reception said they were not too sure, we would have to ask at the gym but that wasn't available. Cleanliness issues in room were disgusting see pics of: fridge Under blanket Door hinge Lampshade Stained walls outdoor furniture Indoor furniture At breakfast on Saturday, there were no bowls for cereals, despite informing the staff and a management member, we received 1 bowl, this happened on every single morning. Waitresses have been hiding behind the pillar walls to eat and drink, also using mobile phones. Dining Room is chaos when customers are all passing each other with hot drinks, as you have to take your cup and glass with you. Man making omelettes is very rude and slops things around. On Sunday we spent the day by the pool, the sun beds were disgusting and needed cleaning, but at least we had towels from the room to use, the area around the pool was covered in grit and debris from the building work, which had not been closed off to customers. We were asked by the guy in the dirty white t shirt with a Red Cross on and red shorts if we wanted to order any food, we we're put off by his appearance and noticed him scratching his head and body and then serving food plates to customers so we declined. We used the A la carte restaurant on the Sunday evening, which was very nice, apart from asking for water we didn't get, the service was fine and we enjoyed our meal. On Sunday when we returned to our room, I entered the bathroom and slipped on water on the floor, hurting my leg and bottom, the ceiling had water pouring from it, it was over the sink/mirror/floor, towels were all wet. Tried to call reception but phone didn't work, my husband went to reception to report it and told the staff, my wife has fallen, they told him not to worry an engineer will be sent, no enquiry was forthcoming about me falling. My husband also reported phone in room still not working. Engineer arrived and said he had fixed the problem , the maid told us she had no more towels until 4pm, we had to wait until 20 past 4. In the meantime we were offered another room but didn't want to re pack all our things and as engineer said he had fixed the leak it didn't seem necessary. I wanted to pursue the fact that I had fallen and ensure it was documented so the receptionist said don't worry and scribbled something on the corner of a piece of paper, I asked if they would call my rep from the Holiday Place, which they eventually did but with reluctance. She has left me a report to complete. No one ever enquired if I was ok, the worry was if I had really hurt myself and needed assistance, we didn't have a working phone in the room. We enquired on the Sunday evening about access to the wifi, agreed to the terms but told business centre now closed so service was not available, so went to business centre this morning only to be told no cards available, as they needed to order some, so the service hotel offered wasn't available. We asked to speak to the Manager who was on site on the Tuesday, we waited 4.5 hours with no contact from him, apart from an hour before we left, a lovely lady called Yanet came and spoke to us, she was the first person to listen to us and was very empathetic. Overall major improvements in staff and cleanliness need to be addressed, as we were not the only dissatisfied customers, we wont be returning.

    “one night in Havana”
This hotel is reminiscent of the worst aspects of a society style hotel, the restaurant serving buffet meals was more like a school canteen, the impressively large swimming pool area suffered from poorly maintained surrounding areas and although the rooms were spacious and reasonably furnished they décor was a bit tatty. If staying there find somewhere else to eat nearby!

“Would not stay her again ”
We stayed here while on a 3 day trip to Havana (our main holiday hotel being in Cayo Guillermo which was 8 hours away by coach). When we first walked into our room it smelt damp and musty. We soon realised the extractor fan in the bathroom wasnt working which was obviously what was causing the damp musty smell. The bed was so awful that you could feel the springs really badly. When I woke up in the morning I found a cockroach sat on the desk by the TV. It promptly disappeared under the TV and I had to wake my partner so that he could move the tv and I could swat it with my flip flop! The corridors of the hotel are dark and dingy and the food is awful (compared to the fantastic food back at our main hotel) I mean who would re-heat last night brussel sprounts and serve them for breakfast? There were also bugs walking round the counter by the bread! They also kept running out of plates and glasses and when the plates finally arrived and we took 4 plates (two for our friends) we were given an evil look and muttered at by the waitress for taking too many plates. The best thing about this hotel was leaving! We couldnt wait to get back to our fantastic hotel in Cayo Guillermo! I really think Thomas Cook need to use another hotel for their 3 day trip to Havana as if I knew I was going to be going to this hotel then I would have cancelled the trip!

    “NOT AGAIN! ”
This hotel needs a new administration, poor service starts at the front desk, people is not friendly at all, the security is always pushing and pushing asking the room number and trying to figure out if your are Cuban to treat you like garbage. I had to speak to the security manager about issues with the security guards and he excused them telling me that the hotel was full and that they couldn't memorize all guest faces. The woman in front desk was very rude to my partner's Cuban wife as soon as she realized that she was not a foreigner. Awful experience!!! NOT AGAIN. Try the H10 Panorama better and it is across the street.

    “Not what we hoped ”
We stayed here at the start and end of a tour round Cuba, oh dear what a messy, grubby place this is. The pool area especially is a let down with dirty paving and very dilapidated loungers. The food is o k but it's like a rugby scrum at mealtimes, rooms definitely need some t.l.c our fridge leaked with monotonous regularity, all in all ugh!!!!!!

    Poor badcrow

    “Totally disappointed! ”
In 2 weeks we stayed 2 separate times, booked by tour company. The front desk staff do not seem to care and did not make any effort in welcoming us. One female staff member turned her head in distain when we approached the desk. The beds were so hard, we slept a few hours each night of the 5 nights we spend there. Breakfast and dinner buffets were included - a total disaster other quests barging into the line, so many people. Dishes, cups cutlery always in short supply. One evening was waiting for plates to be replaced, finally came as I was taking one plate an European lady tried to take plate off my hands had to tell her "no" hahaha. The room steward was very nice, but the room was dirty it needs a power washing. Never enough towels left, once there was a dirty towel left. The last night, water was dripping from the bathroom light, i called the desk was told they would send someone up to investigate in 20 minutes. No one ever arrived. The carpet was dirty and was not vacuumed when we arrived and it was not vacuumed during our stay. We were treated as if they did not care if we ever returned, therefore we will not.

    Poor KazDiller

    “Reps call it the "Accidental"”
Rooms are OK, but it took 4 phone calls and 2 visits to reception to have a major leak, which flooded the bathroom, seen to. There is insufficient cutlery and crockery in the restaurant resulting in long queues at meal times. Food is poor, the buffet presentation leaves a lot to be desired. It is located a long way out of Old Havana, so I do not understand why tour companies, we went with Saga, use this hotel.

    Poor jen20142014

    “Never again ”
We knew this wouldn't be a great hotel being a 3.5 star in Cuba, but the service was terrible, I did not feel welcome at all as a Canadian Tourist. The food was terrible, rooms were dirty and run down.

    “stayed 2 nights--not nice”
we stayed here for 2 nights when we did a trip to Havana...... room ok-big, nice looking, the tv was connected to socket by 2 single bare wires-needless to say the tv didn't work... the shower didn't have a knob on to switch from bath to shower.. we had to pull a screw.... breakfast not the best... baby cockroaches crawled around buffet area.... usual options.. bread, salad, fruit... spicy sausage, scrambled eggs, poached eggs, boiled eggs... fresh fried eggs... night food buffet also not the best... cold, my partner went for fresh pasta and the girl wouldn't even cook it for him so he had it cold... usually someone cooks it fresh but she just stood there not wanting to do it.... also as I took food to my table my partner was saying... " get a new fork, get a new fork, go get a new fork"... thinking it fell on the floor... no there was a cockroach crawling all over it .. the table as we tried to eat.... we got rid of it then it reappeared... disgusting.... put me off my food for the rest of the time there. we never even went for breakfast on the last day... opted for a bag of crisps from the shop only good thing was there was a chemist type shop which sold after bite spray which helped our bites loads

“Very poor service even if you pay for everything ”
The hotel looks great form the outside. However, some of the main things necessary for the tourists were barely present. The service was really bad, the people there talked like not willing to help the customer. Additionally, you have to pay for everything, very high prices. Internet is very expensive and limited, every phone call even in Havana was as expensive as calling abroad, the money exchange office would not change CUC back to euros or any other useful currency, the service at the restaurant was really slow, the fruits at breakfast without any taste, etc. Even though the rooms were big, the air conditioning was great, and it had a somehow good location, I would definitely not stay here again. I really felt like everyone was trying to earn the most from my stay without offering customer satisfaction.

    Poor lucem

    “Queues ”
This hotel looked reasonable; rooms spacious, bars welcoming but the buffet restaurant was a joke. There were queues to get in., queues at the serving stations and often no cups or glasses. Birds flew around inside and often landed on the food. Don't try the coffee from the machines; it tastes nothing like coffee

    Poor Musoph

    “Faded glory hotel ”
We had a couple of days here for our recent cycling tour. After spending time is hospitable casas, this place looks appealing from the outside, but sadly fails to deliver. The service is solid if not a little crude, the breakfast service is chaos, the beds & rooms were tired & borderline delapitadated. Really was a soviet style experience & for the money spent, you'd be better off staying somewhere more central & with better facilities

“Ok hotel, not the best, can find better for the price ”
It's an ok hotel. Near embassies so the neighborhood is quite safe. Feb 2014 it was 6 pesos convertibles to go downtown one way. Nice pool area and backyard. Good for a short stay. Rooms are ok, but not the best, some need a great deal of cleaning or reconstructions... but it's Cuba, don't expect the big luxury stuff. Souvenir boutique + buffet found in hostel, not too bad but could be a little better, again this is Cuba, do not expect great luxury.

    “Ok for city stay ”
This hotel is fine for a city stay - clean although could do with some refurbishment. Useful shuttle bus to city centre and large pool/garden to chill in between excursions. Breakfast great- previous reviewers complained about queues but wasnt a problem. Had dinner one night and that was fine too.Reception staff very helpful.

“ok but a rather tired hotel ”
To be honest, having read about Cuba and the issues they have had to deal with I wasn't expecting too much and my first stay at this hotel was ok. The shower plumbing was broken but just about usable; the view of the Russian embassy while not inspiring was not the fault of the hotel, but the absence of plates to eat one's dinner off however was. Anyway it was my first couple of nights in Cuba and nothing was going to spoil that and to be fair the mojitos were the best ever and the music in the bar was terrific. Room was clean(ish) and extremely spacious, but if I ever have the opportunity to visit Havana again I would opt for a city centre casa particular. Food ok, Patio Restaurant staff bored and sullen and very un-Cuba-like, and I gave up waiting to be served coffee and did it myself.

“In need of some TLC ”
I stayed at the Occidental Miramar for three nights between May and June 2014. I have no complaints about the service, but the furniture in room I stayed in is need of reupholstering. The all you can eat breakfast buffet had a wide selection of food including fresh fruit and you also had the choice of having your omelet made on the spot by a lovely gentleman. The pool side was lovely and is a nice place to hangout in the evening, and listen to the live music from the bar. The room was spacious and included a safe but did not have a kettle or an iron, so walk with your own because outside of breakfast where drinks are free, you pay for tea or coffee at other meal times. The hotel is on the outskirts, but they provide a free shuttle service to downtown Havana for guests.

    “A need for a change ”
The hotel is a bit dated but the buffet is very good and the rooms were adequate, maid service brilliant. Internet left a lot to be desired very slow. The up market restaurant had very poor service and the staff were not co-ordinated resulting in long waits for meals up to half an hour in one case. At breakfast food ran out if you were later in attending. Best to go to the buffet. The pool area was dirty and the pool needed to be cleaned of leaves. The pool bar gave good service.

last day before home after completing the charity cycling challenge, rather tired 4 star I would say an average 3 star if I am honest, our room was very tired with 1990's decor which had seen better days, room was large and so was the bathroom but that was about it, Food average, pool area ok but they are doing building work around the pool on one side which was a bit annoying, pool didnt look particularly clean if I am honest, burger was nice at the pool bar but have had upset tummy since I come back so not sure if it was that good after all....

    “Nice place to stay ”
I didn't have many hopes for our stay here after reading the reviews but we had no problem with Occidental Miramar. The room was clean and spacious (it was also like stepping back in time with the decor). The pool was fine. The bar was fine (a little unfriendly at first but a smile and a tip went a long way). We arrived in the evening and had no cuban currency, the exchange does not open until the morning so for the bar so we had to register a credit card and add it to the room bill. There was a large queue for the exchange in the morning but nothing to worry about. Breakfast was good and there was a huge variety of things to eat. The tables were not always clean though. The bread was very nice as was the guava juice. It is quite a way from the centre of Havana which means it is in a quiet pretty area but you will need a taxi or the shuttle bus to get into town. The shuttles were never at a convenient time so we always got taxis which got costly. In hind sight we should've stayed closer or haggled better. We booked Tropicana through the travel desk in the lobby which was quick, easy and we are pretty sure we got an upgrade. Tropicana was quite expensive but a fab evening. My favourite evening in Cuba. To sum up, the hotel is fine we had no problem with it. If you want to be in the centre then I would advise for you to stay in another hotel.

Stayed here for one night at the start of 2 week trip round Cuba. Large hotel in Miramar district (ie not central). Popular with tour groups. Room large & well appointed. Comfy bed. Breakfast a bit of a free for all - you have to queue to get in & they have 2 sittings (which they don't advertise - if you arrive after 7.30am you will have to wait for 30 mins before you'll be let in to dining room). Looks like lots of choice of food but quality not great

    “Did the job ”
A large hotel with large buffet restaurant, bar, and large swimming pool. Set on 5th Avenue on the residential / Embassy district of Havana, and less then 10mins walk to the rocky coastline. By European standards, it's in need of renovation. Its clean and the staff are fine. We stayed as part of a tour group, and so we were checked in automatically and had our own area in the buffet restaurant. Currency exchange available. The bedrooms are large with 2 large beds. Bathroom is clean and had a bathtub with over the bath shower. We were warned that there would unlikely to be any sink plugs in the bathroom and that was true. We did have shower head and toilet seat. The food, although not great, was much better than we expected. The pool area is large but we found sunbeds hard to find later in the day.

    “Excellent Buffet ”
My wife and I stayed here Feb 20th, at the beginning of our cycling trip with Exodus. The room was good, but we found the bed really too firm for our liking. We enjoyed both a dinner and breakfast buffett, and it was one of the best buffett experiences we had. They even served roast turkey, which my wife said was excellent. The pool was good. The elevators were all mirrored - it made me think of a Soviet-style property from the 80s. The property is located near the embassies, and a fair distance from downtown. Check in was excellent, and staff very helpful and friendly.

    “Dissappointed ”
I booked this hotel back November 1,2013, paid in full for 2 nights from Jan25-27. Also booked this hotel from Feb 3-6. When we arrived at the Miramar at 10pm Jan 25 we were rudely told we didn't have a room and that our room was at the Copacabana Hotel. The front desk guy was so rude he kept trying to dismiss me while he tried to talk to another customer who happened to be a young woman who kept interupting my discussion. I wouldn't let him get away with his rude behaviour or hers. I demanded to know who was paying the cab fare to the other hotel he finally said the Miramar would pay. He told us to wait outside and out of the corner of my eye I saw the security guards moving in. We took our luggage and went outside and waited for a cab. After 5 min went back inside and looked at him until he called over the security guard and gave him instructions to call us a cab and take us to the Copacabana. Meanwhile a fancy car pulled up and low and behold a very well dressed man got out and proceeded to go to the front desk and was immediately given a warm welcome and a key card. I was extreamly angry. I called the company that I booked the room through and they told me they were unaware that we had been moved to a lesser quality hotel. The promised to look into the matter and get back to me. Since we were going back there on the 3rd I wanted to know that I had a room for the nights I paid for I also wanted some sort of compensation since there was a price difference. When we got to the Miramar on Feb 3 the staff was supposed to be made aware of my problem and give me an upgrade room and free dinner that evening. I have to say the young lady taking care of me was most appologetic and they did give me a upgrade to a suite with a roof top balcony. Very nice, clean, but needs to be modernized. Carpets were dirty and furniture needed a good clean. The dinner that was free lets just say glad it was. i have posted pics of the upgraded room. The food in the Snack Bar was better than the main restaurant and it was hot. I found the location fine no noise except from street with cars racing back and forth but we didn't hear it with doors closed. Pool area was really large and several types of water depth for diving, laps, kids pool and shallow wading area, plenty of chairs. Bar service was not too bad. I wonder if Cuban workers have an attitude towards non spanish speaking people. They are always yelling at each other and don't always attend to customers without a snarky look on their faces. I totally forgot about the shuttle so we didn't take advantage of that feature and they didn't tell about the shuttle either.

Stayed here at the end of a 250 charity bike ride across Cuba. The hotel didn't feel unique or particularly Cuban, and is quite a way from the centre of Havana with little around. We had a large sit down meal which was pretty awful. Starters made hours ago, dried up and stale bread, lobster that was chewy..... overall not a good experience. Glad we only had to stay one night! “Interesting Experience ”
Like much of Havana this hotel looks good on the outside but is sadly deteriorating. We were a large group and out of a half dozen rooms, only one had a toilet seat. Originally the rooms were designed as suites with balconies, but the outdoor furniture is gone and the electric appliances were missing except for the cords that had been cut and left behind. Miramar was home to Havana's elite before the revolution and the neighborhood is interesting with large mansions - some in beautiful condition and others slowly decaying. Many of the more beautiful homes are now embassies. It is worth a long walk to see what once was the home of the sugar kings.

I found the food rather bland and the same food almost every day. I know they are government run but more seasoning to the food would have helped .The bedroom was alright and plenty of room. The toilet did not flush so we had to flush the toilet with a bin in the toilet .I know we could have moved rooms but after you have unpacked I did not fancy the hassle of moving rooms. Some people found when they got to their rooms other people were in them. One person had 50 T.V'S AND NO BED.I think the hotel could have done with a little TLC on the décor in the passages E.G Carpets needed a little bit of a clean .

    “had a great stay ”
This was the first hotel we stayed during our Cuban vacation, and it exceeded our expectations. It is located in a quiet area, just outside of Havana where many of the embassies are. This hotel is grand and opulent. The lobby is huge and open, and the check in staff was helpful, even though we arrived after midnight, tired and hungry. Our room was big enough for 3 beds, and the washroom was also quite large. The tub had a really high side, so it was a bit difficult to exit. Water pressure was great, and there was no shortage of hot water. The beds were surprisingly comfortable and we slept well every night. The housekeeping staff was great and friendly. Mirna was our housekeeper and she took great care of us. We got lots of fresh clean towels every day, and a new towel creation on our beds and in the washroom! The free breakfast buffet was more than adequate. There was a made to order omelet station, where they would cook up your eggs any way you like. There were coffee machines where you could choose they type of coffee you wanted. They also dispensed tea, hot water, hot chocolate, and capuccino. There were two sittings for breakfast. 6:45 to 7:30 and 8-10:30. Not sure why, but since we never made it to the early sitting, we'll never know! The hotel had a money exchange, a great little gift shop, a gym, a hair salon, another restaurant, and a huge pool in the back. They offered a daily shuttle bus from the hotel to Old Havana and back, several times a day. The 6 elevators were more than adequate. The outdoor pool in the back was beyond large. And they made great mojitos at the pool bar! There were lots of shaded areas for lounging as well as sunny areas for those who wanted to lie in direct sunlight, There was a volleyball net in one area of the pool, and there were 2 shallow sections of the pool where the children could slide down, from one level to another. By far, one of the nicest outdoor hotel pools I have ever seen! Although this hotel is quite old, by the looks of it, and kind of looks more like an office building than a hotel from the outside, it's location is perfect, it's staff is friendly, and we have no regrets after staying here. Would I stay here again? Definitely!!!

    “Good bet”
First thing you need to know when booking a hotel in Havana is that star rating is not the same as in other countries, so this four star hotel would hardly be three stars elsewhere. Having said that, for Cuban standards it certainly deserves four stars and a very good rating, especially considering price range. This was our third trip to Cuba so we've been around the block a bit. Occidental Miramar is a basic, nice hotel in one of the nicest neighborhoods in Havana. We had an ocean facing (although ocean is some distance away) room in the 5th floor with a nice size, good working AC, TV and minibar. Room was clean and silent. The pool is big and clean and the pool area is hit by the sun early on the day. There is live music in the lobby at night which is really nice, but up in the room we could not hear any of it. Staff was friendly. Buffet breakfast is included and though selection is not bad, quality of the food is average. Old Havana is a 15 minute drive away and the hotel offers a shuttle service, however we think a car is better.

    Very good fredpipes

    “Grand Soviet-style hotel ”
We stayed here a night each at the beginning and end of our cycling holiday of Cuba. It is a big soviet-style hotel with a grand lobby, lots of art, a 24-hour bar - and a huge pool. Breakfast on the first morning was a little chaotic, with no plates or cups to be found, though eventually we waited for some to come out from the kitchen area. There was a big selection of hot and cold food: including tropical fruit and salad, pastries, bread, and someone making omelettes. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the TV even had BBC world service, and the shower was great. The second time we stayed, the breakfast was running smoothly, maybe because we came down later. It also has a place to change money. It is a fair way from the city centre but there is a shuttle bus and taxis (including old American cars) cost about 15 cuc. Great view of the Russian embassy - and sea - from my room!

“Not a bad place to stay ”
A hotel in the smart area of Havana. Reception very good. A modern hotel not far from the centre of Havana. The accommodation is spacious with a large bathroom. The plumbing needs some attention. We had no sink or bath plugs. This seems to be the norm in Cuba. The shower had a knob missing but we managed to get it going. The beds are comfortable. Breakfast had a fine choice and was of a good quality except the coffee. The dinner was a buffet style which tended to get very busy in the evenings. Great entertainment in the bar area. The pool area is spacious but needs new sun beds and flooring. On the whole we enjoyed our stay at the hotel.

    Very good hanzerito

    “Great short stay ”
Stay there for a couple of nights. Had a good time. very clean spacious rooms. Excellent choise for a not such a high price!!! Not so close from the old city but still transportation is not an issue. Buffet breakfast can be quite messy ........but we guests are the ones that make the mess. Would go back there without hesitation.

    Excellent marlonjuc

“Great food, nice night life. ”
I stayed four nights in the hotel, the food was really good, the breakfast and the dinner when I arrived every night after having a trip in Havana. They have several bars and cafes inside the hotel. And every night they had live music with great local performers. The hotel is quiet far away from the malecón, but they have a great Taxi service. The staff are such a great people, providing information and facilities to the tourists. The trasfer are excelllent, to and from all the other tours to Varadero and Playas del Este. They have a nice swimming pool with a nice bar with cocktails and fast food.

    Excellent GelberCayman

    “Business Trip to Cuba ”
Due to a Business Trip to Cuba our Agent booked a room in the Miramar for 5 Days. Room and Breakfast was phantastic. Service was great and the overall stay was excellent. Next time I will be there for holidays.

    “Comfortable stay, excellent service ”
We spent four nights at the Occidental Miramar hotel in Havana, and we were completely satisfied with the comfort and cleanliness of our room, the breakfast buffet - in particular, the rich selection of fresh fruit and juices - as well as the helpfulness of front desk staff. The landscape around the outdoor pool is well looked after and the free shuttle bus to the old city centre is a convenient transportation option during the daytime. Thank you for your warm hospitality throughout our fantastic stay in Havana and we wish you continued success and further development!

    Excellent Ibrahim

    Everything is gooooood
The Occidental Miramar Hotel is located in the residential area of the same name, and is 15 kilometers away from José Martí International Airport and at a 10-minute drive from Old Havana. The hotel, which is situated in an area where commercial firms and embassies have their offices, provides a beautiful view of the sea and benefits from the peculiar touch of Quinta Avenida (5th Avenue). The establishment offers a varied entertainment program and provides personalized treatment to its guests, thanks to the high professionalism of the staff.
