  • Description: Palacio O'Farrill Hotel Cuba

The O'Farill Palace was the residence of Don José Ricardo O'Farrill y O'Daly, a rich merchant from the Irish county of Longford who, linked to the slave trade business and owner of sugar mills, arrived in Havana in 1715 and founded one of the wealthiest families of the colonial era. The combination of architectural elements from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries in the decoration of each of its three levels is a distinctive element of this Hotel in Old Havana where the footprint of the O'Farrill family and recreated elements of the culture coexist. Irish.

    not bad
The Palacio O'Farrill Hotel, located in Havana's historic heart, is very close to the attractive Bay of Havana and the impressive La Punta and La Fuerza fortresses. The hotel was named after the family that built the mansion in Old Havana in the early 19th century. Located on the corner of Cuba St. and Chacón St., and 20 kilometers away from José Martí International Airport, the small palace, which belonged to Don José Ricardo O'Farrill y O'Daly, features a neoclassical architectural style. O'Farrill arrived in Havana in the early 18th century and founded one of the richest families in colonial times.

    Awfull Spottycloud about Palacio O'Farrill

The building is gorgeous and to have breakfast at the courtyard is lovely. That?s about it. - The reception smells foul. - First room we were given didn?t have a single window, at a 4 star hotel!!! turns out ALL rooms on that floor are windowless, and they don?t even think to warn you in advance before booking! They didn?t have anything else for that day but they said they would move us to a room with window the day after. - We asked for a recommendation for a place to eat and the doorman took us to El Paladar Las Brujas, oh-my-god. The waitresses are dressed as witches (brujas) and it was BY FAR the most expensive meal we?ve had in cuba (40 USD for 2 mains and 2 sodas). So: never ever trust the staff at this hotel. - The day after we arrived at 5 (check in is at 4) to access our room with a window. Were given the keys to our room only to find all the dirty linen and towels from previous guests still lying around. They sent someone to clean the room and leave clean towels, please see attached pic of the ?clean? towel. - In the first room the hair drier didn?t work, in the second room the main light didn?t work. - Toilets in the patio area don?t have seats (see pic attached) - Internet doesn?t allow you to access fb, yahoo, Hotmail or gmail?way to go! A COMPLETE DISASTER!
