Hotel Club Amigo Caracol, is like a huge shell at the white sand of its beach. Caracol is surrounded by sea-grapes, coconut and trees making it a tropical and captivating exoticism.

I always was skeptical about negative reviews. I've learned my lesson the hard way. I am home now. My family is safe. But even thinking about Club Amigo Caracol makes me shiver. Why in the world would you put acid into the swimming pool or give half of your beach to drunk and despicable wind surfers? The beautiful beach is not safe for swimming or for kids to play close to the water. Kite surfers are flying back and forth along the water front as close as half a meter to the shore. They are often drunk and extremely aggressive towards other tourists with total approval from Caracol administration. After multiple complains from many people nothing was changed. So, forget about the beach. But you can't go close to the swimming pool either. Instead of chlorine they use some kind of acid for maintenance. After spending 1 hour in the water my child started crying and next 3 days I treated her body with hydrocodone cream. She was burned alive. I think I have a case against Hola Sun. I also want to mention that the hotel is actually full of locals, ratio is about 1:4 (1 is for tourists). You will fight to get a scoop of ice-cream for your kids with tough Cuban guys. Do you really want to do that? Think twice before you book your package.
