Without Calixto García Birthplace, one of the flagship institutions of the City of Parks, a must-visit place for Holguín residents and anyone who feels patriotic and Cuban, is the Mayor General “Calixto García Iñiguez” Birthplace Museum. Located in the central street Miró, No.147, corner Frexes, the site is of great significance for the people of Holguín and all the people of Cuba, remembering through its permanent exhibition rooms the life and actions of the General of the Three Wars . The property has a domestic construction that dates back to the end of the 18th century, taking into account some architectural elements that are still preserved, such as: doors from the late 18th century and windows with turned wooden balusters.
