Rating Lenin Park
In a great natural plain in the outskirts of Havana, you can find this big recreation ground. It has an amusement park, some swimming-pools, some restaurants of different styles and prices, a nineteenth century steam train, and so on. There are a wide range of activities to do there: from taking part in a Cuban rodeo to go rowing in the lake, riding a bycicle or a horse. At weekends, lots of Havana families go there but the space is so wide that it does not seem to be crowded at all. The establishment offers affordable prices too

Lenin Park is located in Havana
Capital of Cuba and the country's administrative, political, cultural and scientific center, it is also the capital of two provinces: City of Havana and Havana. Though only around 280 square miles (727 square kilometers) in size-0.65 percent of the archipelago's total area.
The Old Havana and system of forts led UNESCO to declare it a part of world heritage in 1982. Founded on its present site in 1519, the settlement of San Cristobal de La Habana prospered mainly due to its bay, which was a natural port of call for ships sailing to and from the New World. Starting in 1634, because of its strategic location, San Cristobal de La Habana was considered the key to the New World-as attested to by royal letters patent-and the main defense of the West Indies.
The Cuban capital consists of an immense number of buildings in a wide range of architectural styles, built in the course of nearly five centuries. These styles range from the pre-baroque to the baroque, neo-Gothic, neoclassical, eclectic, art noveau and art-deco, to the modern.
Alejo Carpentier, one of Cuba's most famous authors, called it "the city of columns" and focused attention on its streets, which he considered a perennially rich show of life, humanity and contrasts that was bound to entertain any observer.
Over 14 kilometers of excellent beaches lie to the east of the Cuban capital. To the south, a green belt contributes to a healthful atmosphere.

Lenin Park Cuba
Lying approximately 20 km / 12 miles to the south of Havana, Parque Lenin is the biggest recreational space in the region, covering some 1,600 acres / 650 hectares, and makes for an appealing day out. Much of the park has recently enjoyed a facelift and comes with a host of attractions, such as an amphitheatre, an aquarium, an art gallery (the Galeria de Arte Amelia Pelaez), a monument to Lenin, and a scenic narrow gauge railway. Just minutes away and to the south is the ExpoCuba attraction, where numerous pavilions showcase the country's various achievements. ExpoCuba is also home to a popular amusement park and hosts the Feria Internacional de la Habana each November.
“Waste of time ”
Lenin Park sounded like a nice place to visit but the reality was far less attractive. The steam train which was supposed to take us through the park is not running (and apparently will not for some time) and the Amusement park within Lenin Park was a rather run-down affair with rides that are definitely not from this time anymore....
